Even a warrior knows when to accept defeat

It pretty sure was a very tough decision for Dinara to retire during her match against Jelena Jankovic in the Sony Ericsson Championship that's being held in Doha. We've known her to be a gutsy fighter. She will play 'til the very last point even if she's in the brink of losing. That's what made me like her so much. Yes, she hasn't won a single Grand Slam yet, but someday she will. She's still young, witty and unpredictable. All she needs to do right now is to rest and take her rehab seriously. It will be devastating if she won't be able to play in the coming AO 2010, but if it's the only way to ensure that she can get back hundred percent, it will be worth the wait. Her health is far more important than tennis. A fractured disc in the backbone is a not a laughing matter. It will take time to heal. Though her stubborness brought her to that situation. But what can we do, it already happened. Might as well face it and handle it good. This is just a trial on her tennis career. It's a test from God to measure her faith to Him and who knows, maybe in her comeback a different Dinara will emerge, a more cool, concentrated and mature tennis player that will be out to prove her worth in the tennis world.
