Spirited Away

Spirited Away Movie Poster

Spirited Away is a simple story with life and moral lessons, it's heartwarming, refreshing and very inspiring. As you watch the movie, you'll witness how the main protagonist, a ten year old girl did everything right to protect and help not just her parents but all those people (or spirits :D) around her.

I was 16 or 17 when I first watched this movie with my family. My oldest brother brought home a dvd copy of this, at first we were like "okay let's get this done and over with." But as the show progressed (actually right after Chihiro's parents turned into pigs after they greedily devoured the foods for the spirits) we we fell in love with the movie. It has all the necessary ingredients that will make you want to watch it over and over again. My mom loves it more than we do (which was crazy since she doesn't approve of all the movies that we watched in the past). But after we transferred into our new home (like Chihiro) we lost some of our dvd's and unfortunately, it was one of them. Just imagine how sad my mom was, she considered it as one of her treasures and her favorite movie of all time (me too Mom ;>) She did everything she could to find another copy of it, but she failed. But after almost a decade, my younger sister's patience and handwork finally paid off. She found it on the internet! (bless the one who posted it) My younger brothers were not able to watched it with us in the past (they were too young to understand the movie) it was our time to share the movie to them, let them not just be entertained but learned some valuable lessons as well. I would recommend this movie to anyone over and over again, specially to the younger generations. Forget all of those super heroes for a while and let them witness a movie oozing with as I've said, good morals and life lessons.

Enjoy it everyone!

P.S. Again, I wished there was a part 2.

Running away to find a safe place for Chihiro.

He told her not to breath! But she did! She was scared of the frog. Lol!

Haku comforting Chihiro, giving her rice cakes with the spell to return her energy and will make her better (he personally cast the spell)

Haku telling Chihiro to always remember her name.

Flying back to the bath house, it was also during that time that she remembered seeing Haku for the first time (he saved her life after she nearly drowned on a river, the Kohaku River)

Chihiro happy to see Haku was alright.

It's time to face the verdict. Chihiro ready to face Yubaba for her contract that will free her and her parents.
